The Apollo Product Twister is an innovative conveyor for inline rotation of cases and other unitized loads. This conveyor is useful in packaging lines where units need to be rotated upside down or to one side without affecting throughput or damaging the product. It is a great solution for in-line and end-of-line packaging processes like labeling or date coding.
How does it work?
The Apollo Product Twister is a Horizontal Belt Conveyor with a twist. The belt itself smoothly rotates from horizontal to an upright position, or the other way around. This is useful when the position of the product needs to change during the packaging process. Without the Product Twister, manual handling might increase labor costs, damage the product or reduce throughput. The Product Twister ensures a continuous motion, in order to create the most efficient transportation and packaging processes.
Specifications
The loads can be rotated 90 degrees or 180 degrees in a continuous motion, clockwise or counter clockwise. The Product Twister can accommodate a wide range of load sizes without adjustment or change parts, which is useful if there are different sized products that need to be conveyed. The Product Twister also has another useful function: it can be used to stir the content of certain products in cases/boxes, like special chemicals/syrups to ensure proper mixing prior other downstream processes.
The Product Twister is available in 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 mm belt widths. The length of one 90° unit is 3000 mm or 5600 mm for a 180° model. Depending on the product dimensions or requirements, this length can be extended. The Product Twister operates smoothly due to our low friction chain-slat design. They feature a small footprint, which is perfect when space is limited. The speed of the conveying surface is around 40 meters a minute and it can transport 50 kilograms of product per meter.
